ABOUT

Agroecology Europe (AEEU) is an international association of members who wants to exchange knowledge and experiences on agroecology, to place agroecology high on the European agenda and to support the transition toward agroecological practices, sustainable food systems and policies. To support exchange, reflection and bottom-up contributions, every two years Agroecology Europe organises together with local farmers, universities, social movement organisations, local administrations and non-governmental organisations an Agroecology Europe Forum.

Agroecology Europe Forum 2025 is a landmark event shaping the future of food systems through agroecology. The theme “Transformation in Action!” will highlight collaboration, integration and bold action to accelerate agroecological transitions across Europe. For the first time, the 5th Agroecology Europe Forum is hosted in the Nordics, transforming into a vibrant festival welcoming both food system changemakers and the public. We want everyone to have a taste of the transformation agroecology offers!

Agroecology offers a holistic, participatory and action-oriented framework for sustainable agri-food systems. Despite widespread global recognition, agroecology remains underrepresented in Europe. Agroecology Europe Forum 2025 aims to fill this gap. We are bringing together diverse stakeholders from all food system sectors to energise, strengthen and expand the European agroecology movement. Share knowledge and experience, gain inspiration, showcase success stories and tackle challenges in a dynamic space filled with innovative ideas and actionable solutions.

The Agroecology Europe Forum 2025 is designed as a 3-day workshop, where each day has its own theme:

  • Day 1 – Visions of agroecological transformations
  • Day 2 – Exploring transformative pathways
  • Day 3 – Moving into action.

Read more about the themes and session topics on the programme page. The co-created programme will offer a variety of engaging sessions, such as distinguished keynote speakers, scientific presentations, workshops, field visits, artistic exhibitions, a farmer’s market, and more. Food and art are our tools in creating a visionary Forum where participants can immerse into the utopia of agroecology.
